Eight months ago, sitting in the library after another exam we both studied hard for, yet still felt underprepared, we asked each other why studying more never translated to better grades. No matter how many hours we put in, it still felt like we barely scratched the surface of what we studied.

Then, we built Weila. We wanted something that actually told us how well we studied, not just how long. But the longer we built it, the more we realized the impact it could make.

Wildlife conservation has been a passion of ours since we were kids, and this was the perfect opportunity to involve this passion into something special. The numbers are staggering, thousands of species disappearing within our lifetimes, organizations are underfunded, and there's a severe lack of education on the topic. There are countless people out there who care but don't know how to help, and we realised we had a direct line to that group with Weila.

So Weila became something bigger than a study app, every session you do, flashcard you study, and every club battle you win; it contributes directly to real wildlife conservation with the WERC system.

We're two students. We don't have a board of directors or a marketing team. We have something better: a genuine reason to build this, and a community that makes it matter.
